Noise Induced Hearing Loss File Handler

About the role

The Noise Induced Hearing Loss (NIHL) File Handler will manage a caseload of primarily litigated NIHL claims within a supportive team environment. You will progress claims according to strategic objectives, aiming for favourable outcomes while maintaining profitability.

Key responsibilities

• Review documents, prepare reports and manage disclosure processes.
• Analyse medical and personnel records, obtain witness statements and conduct investigations with insured parties.
• Instruct counsel and experts, conduct legal research and draft correspondence.
• Attend conferences, trials and court appointments alongside counsel.
• Liaise with insurers and insureds, taking instructions and ensuring adherence to court timetables.
• Maintain compliance with SRA standards and uphold Keoghs values.

Required profile

• Demonstrated experience handling NIHL claims.
• Proven ability to manage a caseload of litigated claims.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a legal team.
