Operational Tax Manager – 6 Month Fixed-Term

About the role

This 6‑month fixed‑term position is for an Operational Tax Manager within a leading global investment‑focused organisation. You will join a high‑performing tax function that supports investment operations, regulatory compliance and cross‑border tax efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and optimise withholding tax (WHT) positions, including relief at source and reclaim processes.
• Ensure accurate global tax rate application and resolve discrepancies with custodians and brokers.
• Manage relationships with custodians, administrators and external advisors.
• Support compliance with FATCA, CRS and other international reporting regimes.
• Provide operational tax input on fund investments, structural changes and instrument taxation.
• Assist private‑markets teams on WHT flows and fund structures as required.
• Uphold internal tax policies and governance frameworks.
• Directly line‑manage, coach and develop a Tax Associate.
• Collaborate with Investment, Operations, Finance and Risk teams to resolve queries and progress tax workstreams.

Required profile

• Strong experience in operational tax, especially withholding tax and cross‑border investment taxation.
• Solid understanding of FATCA, CRS and global reporting requirements.
• Proven ability to manage custodians, administrators and external advisors.
• Excellent analytical and communication skills.
• Leadership capability with experience coaching junior staff.
• Proactive, detail‑driven and solutions‑focused approach.
