Operations Manager

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to lead the day‑to‑day running of a growing financial planning business. You will drive operational efficiency, support business growth, ensure regulatory compliance, and work closely with senior leadership to achieve strategic objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Reconcile business income in the CRM system and prepare management accounts.
• Process monthly payroll, manage P11D compliance and introducer payments.
• Complete company bank reconciliations and oversee technology systems.
• Prepare and submit regulatory returns, maintain Appointed Representative compliance, and liaise with regulators.
• Coordinate CPD requirements, Chartered status renewals, and the Training & Competence framework.
• Manage Professional Indemnity Insurance renewals and produce management information.
• Chair Investment and Proposition Committee meetings and conduct adviser performance reviews.
• Coordinate recruitment, employment contracts, performance reviews and employee engagement programmes.
• Oversee IT systems, cybersecurity, hardware, software and board meeting logistics.
• Support marketing initiatives, manage external suppliers and liaise with accountants.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years’ experience as an Operations Manager or senior administrator in a regulated financial services environment.
• Proven experience managing and developing teams.
• Degree‑level education; A Level 4 Diploma, PRINCE2 or accounting qualification is desirable.
• Excellent organisational, time‑management and attention‑to‑detail abilities.
