Paralegal – Motor Litigation Support

About the role

This position sits within the NDA Motor Litigation Unit, handling motor claims ranging from Small Claims to Multi‑Track up to £150k. The role is based in the support hub, providing administrative and coordination assistance to litigation teams and offering a solid introduction to the litigation process for pre‑litigation handlers or recent law graduates.

Key responsibilities

• Answer calls, capture relevant information and pass it to file handlers.
• Contact third parties, courts and experts to check availability, book counsel, chase documents and arrange extensions.
• Diary key court dates in the Case Management System to avoid missed deadlines.
• Complete ad‑hoc enquiries for file handlers and keep them updated.
• Correspond with the CRU to maintain up‑to‑date certificates of recoverable benefits.
• Prepare management information (MI) reports.
• Draft write‑off forms and manage final billing queries.
• Request final bills, resolve billing issues and handle file closure or transfer activities.

Required profile

• Established interest in law through education or experience in a process‑driven legal environment.
• Ability to plan and prioritise workloads effectively.
• Team‑oriented with flexibility to achieve results and meet client service standards.
• Good understanding of IT packages.
• Excellent listening and verbal communication skills.
• Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
