Paraplanner

About the role

We are recruiting an experienced Paraplanner to join a growing financial planning business in Manchester. The role involves working closely with advisers, administrators and compliance to produce high‑quality technical reports and ensure advice meets FCA standards.

Key responsibilities

• Undertake detailed research and analysis to formulate appropriate financial planning advice.
• Prepare accurate, compliant and client‑focused suitability reports and letters.
• Provide technical support across investments, pensions, inheritance tax, tax‑efficient investments, trusts and protection.
• Prepare cash‑flow planning forecasts and supporting analysis.
• Collaborate with advisers and administrators to ensure smooth delivery of client cases.
• Support senior management and contribute to continuous improvement of paraplanning processes.
• Work with the Compliance team to ensure client files meet FCA standards.

Required profile

• Level 4 Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning or equivalent.
• Proven experience as a Paraplanner within a financial advice or wealth management environment.
• Strong technical knowledge of pensions, investments, tax planning and protection.
• Excellent suitability report writing and understanding of FCA regulations.
• Exceptional attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
