About the role
This temporary‑to‑permanent position is for a Physical Education teacher at a secondary school in Nechells, Birmingham. The role starts in September 2026 and initially covers two days a week, with the possibility of a third day.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver practical PE lessons to KS3 and KS4 students on Monday and Tuesday.
- Plan and prepare lesson resources and assessments.
- Mark student work and provide feedback.
- Maintain classroom discipline and promote a safe learning environment.
- Potentially teach on Wednesdays as the timetable expands.
Required profile
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or Early Career Teacher (ECT) qualification.
- Confidence in delivering hands‑on PE sessions.
- Strong classroom and behaviour management skills.
- Willingness to commit to a long‑term role.
