Part‑time Nursery Support Worker (EYFS Teaching Assistant)

About the role

We are looking for a dedicated Part‑time Nursery Support Worker to join a well‑established primary faith school in Edgbaston, Birmingham. You will work within the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) team, helping to create a safe and stimulating environment for young learners.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the class teacher in delivering the EYFS curriculum.
• Support children’s personal, social and emotional development during play and learning activities.
• Prepare and organise learning resources and classroom materials.
• Supervise children during indoor and outdoor sessions, ensuring health and safety standards are met.
• Maintain accurate records of attendance and daily observations.
• Collaborate with staff to implement individual learning plans.

Required profile

• Level 3 Early Years CACHE qualification.
• Current Paediatric First Aid certification.
• Passion for early childhood education and a commitment to inclusive practice.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work as part of a supportive team.

Required skills

• Knowledge of EYFS statutory framework.
• Ability to follow safeguarding and health‑and‑safety procedures.
