Pensions Actuarial Consultant

About the role

We are partnering with a leading pensions consultancy to strengthen its defined‑benefit (DB) pensions team. As a Pensions Actuarial Consultant you will work directly with trustees and corporate clients, providing expert advice on valuations, funding and de‑risking projects.

Key responsibilities

• Advise trustee and corporate clients on a wide range of pensions issues.
• Lead workstreams for actuarial valuations, funding calculations and de‑risking initiatives.
• Serve as the primary day‑to‑day contact for assigned clients.
• Draft technical client advice, reports and other communications.
• Support business development and nurture client relationships.
• Manage and develop junior actuarial team members.

Required profile

• Newly qualified or recently qualified actuary.
• Strong UK pensions consulting experience.
• Excellent technical knowledge of pensions.
• Experience reviewing work and supporting junior colleagues.
• Strong communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
• Commercially aware and client‑focused.
