People & Talent Advisor

About the role

We’re looking for a proactive, people‑first People & Talent Advisor to join our HR team at Alderley Park (3‑4 days onsite a week). You will work closely with Senior HR Business Partners, providing hands‑on advisory support across the employee lifecycle while being the friendly, go‑to face of HR in the office day‑to‑day.

Key responsibilities

• Support senior HR partners with day‑to‑day advisory queries, manage contracts, offer letters, payroll processing and employee records.
• Own onboarding and off‑boarding processes, including right‑to‑work, DBS checks, leaver checklists and exit interviews.
• Draft and post job adverts, ensure a smooth candidate experience and manage the DEEL EOR system.
• Act as the first point of contact for office‑related people questions, organise lunches, stock supplies and help plan internal events.

Required profile

• Experience in an HR, People or Talent support role such as HR Assistant, Coordinator or Advisor.
• Comfortable handling confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
• Highly organised with strong attention to detail.
• Warm, approachable manner and confidence juggling multiple priorities.
• Good working knowledge of core UK employment practices or willingness to learn quickly.
• Proactive “no job too small” attitude.
