Personal Assistant to Director (Temporary, Full-time)

About the role

This temporary, full‑time position supports a Director within Transport for Greater Manchester. The role is office‑based, requiring attendance four days a week, and is essential for the smooth running of day‑to‑day activities.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the Director’s diary comprehensively, scheduling meetings and appointments.
• Prepare and coordinate meeting packs, ensuring all necessary documents are ready.
• Provide general administrative support, including document handling and printing.
• Liaise with senior internal and external stakeholders such as the Department for Transport and HM Treasury.
• Build and maintain positive working relationships across teams.
• Support a demanding, fast‑paced environment by anticipating needs and prioritising tasks.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Personal Assistant supporting Director‑level leaders.
• Highly organised with the ability to manage competing priorities.
• Proactive, independent and capable of forward‑planning.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Flexibility and resilience in a fast‑paced setting.
