Planning Administrator – Inventory & Supply Chain Support

About the role

As a Planning Administrator in an industrial and manufacturing environment, you will support the daily operations of the planning team, ensuring inventory processes run smoothly and on schedule. This temporary, full‑time position offers a hybrid working model and an early finish on Fridays.

Key responsibilities

• Support inventory planning through data analysis, forecasting and stock level reviews.
• Identify and report risks related to shortages, excess stock and demand changes.
• Maintain planning parameters, produce KPI and performance reports, and keep inventory data accurate in business systems.
• Review surplus, obsolete and slow‑moving stock, proposing reduction opportunities and tracking progress.
• Assist with system improvements, process enhancements and continuous‑improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate with Procurement, Operations, Customer Service, Finance and Quality teams to communicate inventory priorities.

Required profile

• Experience in supply‑chain planning, inventory management or stock control.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities with attention to detail.
• Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced setting.
• Effective communication and stakeholder‑management capabilities.
• Understanding of demand planning, materials planning and stock optimisation principles.

Required skills

• Advanced Microsoft Excel for reporting, data analysis and manipulation.
• Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems and maintaining data accuracy.
