Portfolio Security Officer

About the role

This position ensures the safety, security, and operational integrity of a central London portfolio of premium commercial properties. Acting as the first line of protection outside core office hours, the role requires vigilance, professionalism, and discretion.

Key responsibilities

• On‑site security at the main building (2 pm‑8 pm): handover with daytime staff, maintain a visible reception presence, engage with tenants, control access, conduct scheduled patrols, secure communal amenities and report any issues.
• Oversee nightly closure of the lower‑ground gym and rooftop amenity, checking equipment, cleaning and preparing the spaces for the next day.
• Portfolio security patrols (8 pm‑10 pm): follow a predetermined route across central London sites, perform internal and external checks, verify locks and alarms, monitor lighting and report vandalism or maintenance concerns.
• Incident response: act as the first point of contact for remote alarms, attend or escalate emergencies, maintain detailed incident logs and liaise with contractors, facilities teams and emergency services.

Required profile

• Experienced security professional comfortable working evenings and occasional weekends.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow established procedures.
• Professional demeanor with good communication skills for tenant interaction.
• Ability to work independently across multiple sites in central London.
