Postperson (Postal Delivery Driver) – Birmingham

About the role

Join Royal Mail as a Postperson with Driving, delivering letters and parcels across Birmingham. You will work from the Birmingham Central Delivery Office on a rotating shift schedule that includes Sundays, providing a vital service to the local community.

Key responsibilities

• Sort letters and parcels at the delivery office.
• Deliver post by van and on foot throughout your assigned area.
• Build relationships with customers and represent the Royal Mail brand.
• Work outdoors in all weather conditions, handling high volumes of mail.

Required profile

• Full manual UK driving licence (maximum 6 penalty points, registered to your current name and address).
• Willingness and ability to drive a Royal Mail van daily and pass a driving assessment.
• Physically fit to walk up to 12 miles per shift and lift/carry mailbags of 10 kg or more.
• Reliable, self‑motivated and able to work independently.
