Postperson with Driving – Fixed‑Term (Manchester)

About the role

Join Royal Mail as a Postperson with Driving, delivering letters and parcels across Manchester on a 9‑month fixed‑term contract. You will work a rotating shift schedule, including weekends, and be the friendly face of our trusted service.

Key responsibilities

• Sort letters and parcels at the Tyldesley Delivery Office.
• Deliver post by van and on foot within your local area.
• Build relationships with customers and represent Royal Mail professionally.
• Work outdoors in all weather conditions, covering up to 12 miles (20,000+ steps) per day.

Required profile

• Full manual UK driving licence (max 6 penalty points) registered to your name and address.
• Physically fit for walking long distances, climbing stairs/hills and lifting 10 kg+ mailbags.
• Reliable, self‑motivated and able to work independently.
• Strong organisational skills and resilience in a busy environment.
