Pre-Commission Flushing Engineer

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Pre‑Commission Flushing Engineer to join a specialist engineering business delivering commercial projects across the UK. You will be responsible for cleaning and flushing closed heating and chilled water systems before commissioning.

Key responsibilities

• Pre‑commission flushing and cleaning of closed heating and chilled water systems
• Back‑flushing, system cleansing and chemical dosing
• Operating flushing rigs, pumps and filtration equipment
• Conducting on‑site water testing and sampling
• Supporting system preparation ahead of commissioning
• Preparing accurate reports and documentation
• Ensuring compliance with health & safety procedures and industry standards
• Collaborating with clients, contractors and commissioning engineers on‑site

Required profile

• Proven experience in pre‑commission cleaning and flushing
• Strong understanding of heating and chilled water systems
• Knowledge of BG29 and BG50 guidelines
• Understanding of COSHH and chemical handling procedures
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel nationwide
