Primary Level 2 Teaching Assistant – Full‑time/Part‑time

About the role

We are seeking experienced Level 2 Teaching Assistants to join primary schools in Manchester from September 2026. The role involves supporting pupils academically and pastorally, both in the classroom and during break times. You will work closely with teachers and the wider support team to help children develop confidence and independence.

Key responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 and small‑group support for reading, writing and maths.
• Assist with differentiated classroom activities and basic interventions under teacher direction.
• Support pupils with SEND, SEMH or additional learning needs where required.
• Help maintain positive classroom routines, behaviour management and pupil engagement.
• Supervise pupils during breaktimes, transitions and other non‑instructional periods.

Required profile

• Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent.
• Recent experience in a UK primary school and good knowledge of the primary curriculum.
• Strong communication, teamwork and a nurturing, adaptable approach.
• Commitment to safeguarding and inclusive education.
