Key responsibilities

• Lead the design and delivery of major highway schemes.
• Ensure designs comply with national standards and sustainability goals.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams and produce design documentation.
• Act as a key liaison with Highways England as a Regional Delivery Partner.
• Mentor and develop junior engineers within the team.

Required profile

• Extensive senior‑level experience in highway design and delivery.
• Proven ability to lead complex infrastructure projects.
• Strong communication skills for client and stakeholder engagement.
• Commitment to safety, quality and sustainable design practices.
• Professional engineering qualification (e.g., Chartered Engineer).
