Principal Electronics Engineer (DSP)

About the role

We are seeking a Senior/Principal Electronics Engineer with strong hardware and firmware experience to join a specialist engineering business. You will own the design and development of new electronic hardware and embedded firmware while supporting existing product lines, working on advanced sensing and signal‑processing technologies throughout the full product lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop new hardware and firmware solutions.
• Maintain, enhance and support existing electronic products.
• Perform digital and analogue circuit design.
• Handle signal acquisition, A/D conversion and digital signal processing.
• Create PCB designs and layouts for new product developments.

Required profile

• Strong background in digital and analogue electronics design.
• Experience with signal acquisition, DSP, filter design and FFT.
• Embedded C programming experience.
• PCB layout and hardware development expertise.
• Knowledge of ARM/STM32, FreeRTOS, optics/optoelectronics or HDI PCB techniques (advantageous).
