Private Client Solicitor (3+ PQE)

About the role

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Private Client Solicitor to join a well‑established wills and probate team in Greater Manchester. You will manage a varied private client caseload while playing a key part in the firm’s growth and client service excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a diverse portfolio of private client matters, including wills, lasting powers of attorney, probate, estate administration, Court of Protection cases and testamentary trusts.
• Provide sensitive, practical advice to elderly clients and their families.
• Supervise and support junior team members, ensuring high‑quality delivery.
• Contribute to business development and the continued expansion of the department.

Required profile

• Qualified Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive with a minimum of 3 years PQE in a private client environment.
• Strong technical knowledge of wills, probate, lasting powers of attorney, estate administration and the Mental Capacity Act.
• Experience advising on testamentary trusts.
• STEP qualification advantageous (or candidates working towards it will be considered).
• Excellent client care, organisational and communication skills.
• Ability to supervise and develop junior colleagues.
• Full driving licence and access to a vehicle for business use.
