Private Client Tax Manager – Birmingham

About the role

KPMG’s Private Client Tax team in Birmingham is seeking an experienced tax professional to lead high‑value personal tax engagements for high‑net‑worth individuals, families and trusts. You will work within a supportive network of 20 offices nationwide, delivering bespoke tax solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver high‑quality personal tax services to a diverse portfolio of complex clients.
• Provide advice on inheritance tax, capital gains tax, income tax and international tax matters, identifying optimisation opportunities.
• Develop original, bespoke tax solutions for one‑off assignments.
• Project‑manage tax advisory engagements, ensuring deadlines, risk management and compliance.
• Oversee work‑in‑progress, billing and cash collection.
• Support the performance and development of partially and newly qualified staff.

Required profile

• Qualified accountant or tax adviser (ATT, CTA, ACA or ACCA) with personal tax experience.
• Strong academic record and deep understanding of private‑client issues.
• Excellent oral and written communication, interpersonal and analytical skills.
• Ability to work both collaboratively and independently, with a commercial mindset.
