Procurement Contracts Specialist – Supplier Management

About the role

Our client in Birmingham is seeking a Procurement Contracts Specialist on a 6‑12 month fixed‑term contract. The role focuses on reviewing existing suppliers and contracts to create a streamlined, cost‑effective procurement process.

Key responsibilities

• Compile a comprehensive list of current suppliers and identify duplicate or unnecessary contracts.
• Develop an approved supplier list and establish a centralised budgeting process across departments.
• Create and maintain a SharePoint page to host the approved supplier information.
• Oversee external suppliers, manage relationships and ensure value for money.
• Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and suppliers to facilitate smooth contract and supplier management.

Required profile

• Proven background in contract and supplier relationship management.
• Meticulous approach to contract review with a focus on value for money.
• Recent, relevant experience in a similar procurement or contracts role.
• Availability to work 37 hours per week, Monday‑Friday, 9am‑5pm.
