Procurement Manager - Clinical Laboratories

About the role

Our client is seeking a Procurement Manager for Clinical Laboratories on a 12‑month fixed‑term contract. Based in Welwyn with a hybrid working model, you will help shape procurement strategies that support innovative healthcare solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and execute strategic sourcing strategies for clinical laboratory commodities.
• Build and maintain strong supplier relationships to optimise cost and service delivery.
• Negotiate, draft and manage contracts ensuring compliance with business objectives.
• Collaborate on customer‑oriented projects, delivering innovative buying experiences.
• Conduct market analysis to identify trends and opportunities in genomics, bio‑analytics and related areas.

Required profile

• University degree in business or a scientific discipline such as Biological/Life Sciences or Chemistry.
• Proven procurement experience in strategic sourcing, preferably within the pharmaceutical sector.
• Familiarity with clinical laboratory commodities (genomics, bio‑analytics, etc.).
• Fluent English at a business level.
