Production Supervisor – Manufacturing (Dudley)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Production Supervisor to lead a busy manufacturing workshop producing bespoke furniture. You will be responsible for the efficient delivery of the production plan while managing a team of 30 staff across multiple departments.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee day‑to‑day shop floor operations across the wood mill, upholstery, dispatch, sewing and pre‑build departments.
• Manage a team of approximately 30 production staff, including five direct reports, ensuring the production plan is delivered efficiently.
• Problem‑solve and troubleshoot operational, staffing and scheduling issues as they arise.
• Maintain shift patterns (6am‑2pm or 7am‑3pm, Monday‑Friday) and coordinate overtime when required.

Required profile

• Experience as a Production Supervisor or similar in a factory/manufacturing environment.
• Proven people‑management skills with responsibility for a team of 30 staff.
• Ability to work in a busy workshop environment and drive production efficiency.

Required skills

• Knowledge of wood‑working, joinery or related manufacturing processes.
• Experience with scheduling and staff rostering.
