Programme Manager – Strategic Transformation

About the role

Compass Group UK & Ireland is seeking an experienced Programme Manager to lead the Compass One Strategic Transformation Programme. This high‑profile, hands‑on role sits at the centre of a complex, cross‑functional initiative that spans technology, operations, commercial, workforce and broader business functions.

Key responsibilities

• Build and own an integrated programme plan covering all workstreams and functions.
• Manage cross‑functional dependencies and critical‑path activities.
• Identify and mitigate risks, issues and delivery gaps before they affect milestones.
• Lead programme governance, SteerCo meetings and executive reporting.
• Ensure stakeholder alignment on priorities, decisions and delivery commitments.
• Coordinate third‑party suppliers, technology partners and delivery teams.
• Drive readiness activities for mobilisation and go‑live events.
• Provide clear visibility of programme performance, risks and dependencies.

Required profile

• Proven experience delivering complex technology, digital or transformation programmes with multiple interdependent workstreams.
• Ability to operate in a fast‑paced environment, balancing strategic oversight with hands‑on leadership.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Highly organised, proactive and calm under pressure.
• Influential without direct authority, capable of aligning senior stakeholders and suppliers.
