Project Worker – Complex Needs Support

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Project/Support Worker to join a supported accommodation service for individuals with complex needs. You will work within a dedicated team to help residents achieve independent living through person‑centred support and collaborative partnership with external agencies.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of around 7 residents, delivering regular one‑to‑one sessions.
• Develop, review and update person‑centred support and safety plans.
• Complete comprehensive needs, risk and assessment tools.
• Provide trauma‑informed, psychologically informed support that promotes dignity and independence.
• Assist residents with budgeting, tenancy sustainment, daily living skills and routine building.
• Encourage participation in education, employment, training, volunteering and community activities.
• Build and maintain effective relationships with health services, mental health teams, social care and community organisations.
• Support residents to attend appointments and access specialist services.
• Maintain accurate case records, support plans and reports in line with organisational policies.
• Contribute to safe day‑to‑day service operation, adhering to safeguarding and health & safety procedures.

Required profile

• Experience managing caseloads within supported housing, homelessness, mental health or complex‑needs services.
• Proven ability to complete needs, support and risk assessments.
• Good understanding of safeguarding, confidentiality, health & safety and supported housing procedures.
• Knowledge of trauma‑informed and person‑centred approaches.
• Strong communication and relationship‑building skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with internal teams and external professionals.
• Excellent record‑keeping, IT and report‑writing abilities.
• Flexibility to work a rota schedule, including evenings and weekends.
