Property Accountant

About the role

We are looking for a Property Accountant to join a well‑established property organisation in Birmingham city centre. The role offers hybrid working (three days in the office, two days remote), a competitive salary and the chance to develop a career in property finance.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and deliver accurate financial reports for a portfolio of properties and clients within agreed deadlines.
• Maintain strong relationships with clients, tenants, suppliers and internal stakeholders, responding to queries and providing analysis.
• Process and review accounting transactions, ensuring compliance with internal controls and accurate data maintenance.
• Monitor client funding positions, support cash management and perform cash and bank reconciliations across multiple property accounts.
• Oversee rent, service charge, rates and other property‑related payments and review property expenditure with surveyors and facilities managers.
• Attend client meetings and contribute to a high‑quality finance service delivery.

Required profile

• Experience in a property, real‑estate or property‑management environment.
• Strong accounting knowledge and experience in financial reporting.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast‑paced setting.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Yardi property‑management software.
• Advanced Excel skills.
