Property Damage Solicitor/Associate – Retraining Opportunity

About the role

We are seeking a qualified solicitor or chartered legal executive to join a leading defendant firm’s property damage team on a hybrid basis. This position is ideal for candidates with a solid civil litigation background who wish to retrain and specialise in property damage claims.

Key responsibilities

• Independently manage a caseload of property damage related claims.
• Contribute to higher‑value cases as part of a collaborative team.
• Interpret and respond to client needs, ensuring compliance with SLAs and best practices.
• Assess risk and provide sound judgement to internal and external stakeholders.
• Organise and prioritise tasks to improve productivity and workflow efficiency.
• Build strong relationships across internal teams and external partners.
• Mentor junior team members and act as a primary point of contact for guidance.

Required profile

• Qualified solicitor or chartered legal executive (NQ+).
• Previous civil litigation experience.
• Experience with property insurance claims is beneficial.
• Strong technical proficiency and enthusiasm for commercial insurance.
