Property Litigation Solicitor

About the role

A modern law firm in central London (EC1) is seeking a qualified Property Litigation Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive to join its busy property litigation team. You will work alongside approximately five other lawyers handling a mixed residential and commercial caseload.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of residential (≈75%) and commercial (≈25%) property disputes.
• Handle service charge disputes, TOLATA claims, lease renewals and breaches, debt recovery, dilapidations, party‑wall and boundary disputes, adverse possession, lease extensions, easements and restrictive covenants.
• Draft pleadings, statements of case and settlement agreements.
• Negotiate with opposing parties and advise clients on risk and strategy.
• Attend court hearings and represent clients where required.
• Maintain accurate case records and meet firm attendance requirements (twice a week on‑site).

Required profile

• UK qualified solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive with a focus on property litigation.
• Minimum of 4 years post‑qualification experience (PQE) in property dispute work.
• Experience handling both residential and commercial matters.

Required skills

• In‑depth knowledge of UK property law and litigation procedures.
• Strong case management and legal drafting abilities.
• Effective negotiation and advocacy skills.
