About the role

The School of Coding & AI is expanding its Higher Education offering and seeks a passionate Public Health Lecturer to shape the delivery of public health education. You will join at a pivotal growth stage, helping learners develop critical thinking and professional skills in public health.

Key responsibilities

  • Teach Public Health modules to higher‑education students.
  • Plan and deliver inclusive sessions covering health promotion, epidemiology, health inequalities, population health and policy.
  • Design, review and update learning materials and assessments in line with curriculum and awarding‑body standards.
  • Support learners in applying theory to real‑world health challenges and community settings.
  • Set, mark and moderate assignments, providing constructive feedback.
  • Provide academic and pastoral support to help students stay on track.
  • Maintain accurate records of attendance, progress and achievement.
  • Contribute to quality‑assurance activities, course reviews and curriculum updates.

Required profile

  • Minimum 1 year teaching experience in Higher Education, Further Education or relevant industry experience.
  • Degree or equivalent in Public Health, Health Sciences, Health Promotion, Epidemiology or a closely related discipline.
  • Minimum Level 3 qualification in a relevant health‑related subject.
  • Strong knowledge of public health principles, population health, health inequalities and health promotion.
  • Commitment to high‑quality public health education and ability to work with diverse learners.
