Purchasing Executive – Mechanical & Electrical Procurement

About the role

We are looking for a Purchasing Executive to join our established Mechanical & Electrical contracting team. You will support the procurement and project teams by sourcing and delivering components essential for commercial, industrial and residential projects.

Key responsibilities

• Source mechanical and electrical materials, plant and equipment.
• Obtain and compare supplier quotations to secure competitive pricing.
• Raise and process purchase orders in line with company procedures.
• Liaise with suppliers to confirm pricing, availability and delivery schedules.
• Track orders, resolve supply issues and maintain accurate procurement records.
• Support negotiation of pricing and terms with suppliers.
• Collaborate with project managers and site teams to meet project deadlines.
• Monitor stock levels and assist with inventory control.

Required profile

• Previous experience in purchasing, procurement or supply chain, preferably within M&E, construction or engineering.
• Strong organisational and administrative abilities.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
• Detail‑oriented, proactive and commercially aware.
