R&D Tax Manager

About the role

The client is seeking an experienced R&D Tax Relief Manager to lead a varied portfolio of claims. You will work closely with clients and internal teams to deliver high‑quality, compliant R&D tax relief submissions while maintaining strong technical knowledge of the legislation.

Key responsibilities

• Manage R&D Tax Relief claims from initial engagement through to completion.
• Oversee a portfolio of clients, ensuring a high standard of service and timely delivery.
• Prepare detailed, technically robust R&D Tax Reports.
• Calculate and review qualifying R&D expenditure and associated claim values.
• Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of R&D tax relief legislation, HMRC guidance, and industry developments.
• Collaborate with colleagues to deliver successful outcomes for clients and support team development.

Required profile

• Minimum of three years’ experience managing R&D Tax Relief claims.
• Strong technical knowledge of UK R&D Tax Relief legislation and claim preparation.
• Experience managing client relationships and delivering excellent client service.
• Proactive approach to professional development and ambition to take on increasing responsibility.
