Recoveries Solicitor (4+ PQE) – Insurance Litigation

About the role

Keoghs LLP is a leading insurance law firm in the UK. The successful candidate will manage a caseload of Household and Commercial Property recovery files for well‑known insurers. This technical, client‑facing position offers opportunities to develop client relationships through training, mentoring and the delivery of legal solutions to complex problems.

Key responsibilities

• Initial review and reporting of recovery files
• Conducting investigations, reviewing evidence and handling disclosure
• Instructing counsel and experts, and preparing pre‑action and interim applications
• Drafting pleadings, settlement offers (including Part 36) and trial documents
• Attending conferences, trials and ADR sessions such as mediation
• Liaising with lay and insurer clients and managing routine correspondence

Required profile

• Previous experience in a defendant insurance litigation firm with a focus on recoveries
• Working knowledge of Household and Commercial property recoveries
• Strong ability to prioritise workload, attention to detail and use case‑management systems
• Excellent communication skills for liaising with senior claims handlers and clients
