Registered Manager – Children’s Home (EBD)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Registered Manager to lead the launch and registration of a new four‑bed children’s home for young people with Emotional & Behavioural Difficulties (EBD) in Birmingham. This senior position offers the chance to build a service from the ground up while ensuring the highest standards of care and compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the set‑up, registration and opening of the new children’s home.
• Ensure full compliance with Ofsted regulations and safeguarding requirements.
• Recruit, develop and manage a high‑performing care team.
• Deliver outstanding care and positive outcomes for young people.
• Maintain rigorous quality assurance and continuous improvement processes.

Required profile

• Level 3 qualification in Children’s and Young People Workforce or equivalent.
• Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management (preferred or in progress).
• Proven experience as a Registered Manager or Deputy Manager in an EBD setting.
• Strong leadership, organisational and communication abilities.
• Good understanding of Ofsted standards and regulatory frameworks.
