Registered Manager – Children's Residential Services

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Registered Manager to lead a children’s residential home. This permanent, full‑time position offers the chance to make a real difference to the lives of vulnerable children and young people across the UK.

Key responsibilities

• Provide effective leadership and day‑to‑day management of a children’s residential home.
• Ensure compliance with Ofsted regulations, Children’s Homes Regulations and Quality Standards.
• Lead, develop and support residential care teams to deliver high‑quality care.
• Promote positive outcomes for children and young people, overseeing safeguarding and risk management.
• Manage staff supervision, performance appraisal and professional development.
• Maintain accurate records, operational performance and continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Previous experience as a Registered Manager, Deputy Manager or senior Children’s Residential Manager.
• Strong knowledge of Ofsted regulations and Children’s Homes Quality Standards.
• Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or willingness to work towards it).
• Proven leadership and people‑management abilities.
• Passion for improving outcomes for children and young people.
