Reinsurance Manager – Outwards

About the role

The Reinsurance Manager (Outwards) leads Mosaic’s outward reinsurance function, ensuring programmes are implemented effectively, operations run smoothly, and governance is robust. The role works closely with underwriting, finance, actuarial and claims teams to coordinate all reinsurance activities.

Key responsibilities

• Execute all reinsurance activities accurately and on time, including bordereaux preparation, contract setup, settlements, cash processing and claim recoveries.
• Prepare and analyse financial outputs such as premium and recovery estimates, profit commission calculations, and ceded balances.
• Maintain reconciliations of reinsurance‑related accounts to support financial reporting and month‑end close.
• Design and uphold a control framework that meets PBO standards, Lloyd’s requirements and internal policies.
• Act as primary contact for internal and external audits, providing documentation and coordinating responses.
