Repairs Manager – Responsive Repairs

About the role

Our client, a forward‑thinking social housing provider, is expanding its repairs and maintenance service. As the Responsive Repairs Manager you will lead a high‑performing team to deliver safe, efficient, and customer‑focused repairs for residents across the region.

Key responsibilities

• Manage end‑to‑end delivery of responsive repairs, ensuring safety and quality standards.
• Lead, develop and motivate supervisors, operatives and contractors to meet operational and customer service targets.
• Monitor performance against KPIs, service standards and budgets, producing regular reports.
• Oversee contractor performance, ensuring value for money and compliance with contracts.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety legislation and internal policies.
• Collaborate with residents and internal stakeholders to resolve issues and drive service improvements.
• Identify and implement best‑practice initiatives using performance data.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing responsive repairs operations in social housing or property services.
• Strong leadership and people‑management capabilities.
• Experience managing direct labour teams and/or subcontractors.
• Good knowledge of building maintenance and repair processes.
• Understanding of health and safety legislation and compliance requirements.
• Budget management experience with a focus on value for money.
• Excellent stakeholder and customer service skills.
• Full UK driving licence.
