Retail Optical Assistant – Part‑Time

About the role

We are looking for a part‑time Retail Optical Assistant to join Vision Express in London. You will combine excellent customer service with a passion for eyewear, supporting customers through product advice, fittings and basic repairs while using the latest optical technology.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver confident, personalised customer service and product recommendations.
• Assist with frame adjustments, fittings and carry out minor repairs.
• Support pre‑screening eye tests using modern optical equipment.
• Perform administrative and store support tasks to keep the shop running smoothly.

Required profile

• Confident and engaging when interacting with customers.
• Passionate about eyewear, style and comfortable using digital tools.
• Positive team player with a can‑do attitude.
• Strong communicator who listens and understands customer needs.

Required skills

• Basic knowledge of frame adjustment and minor optical repairs.
• Familiarity with optical technology for pre‑screening eye tests.
