Rotational Clinical Pharmacist

About the role

This position offers a unique rotational experience for a qualified clinical pharmacist within a leading specialist cancer centre. You will work across clinical pharmacy, aseptic services and clinical trials, gaining specialist cancer‑care expertise while progressing from Band 6 to Band 7.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver high‑quality, patient‑focused clinical pharmacy, medicines preparation and supply services.
• Provide professional supervision and support to all pharmacy service areas.
• Participate in aseptic preparation of medicines and act as Accountable Pharmacist when required.
• Contribute to departmental quality systems and ensure compliance with statutory legislation.
• Support research activities and clinical trials, providing specialist knowledge for new products and service development.
• Provide medicines‑related education and training to patients and multidisciplinary staff.
• Rotate through multiple pharmacy domains to develop broad specialist skills.

Required profile

• Qualified clinical pharmacist, eligible for Band 6 or Band 7 appointment.
• Enthusiastic, motivated and committed to delivering excellent cancer patient care.
• Willingness to work across different sites within the Greater Manchester and Cheshire Cancer Network.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Required skills

• Clinical pharmacy practice.
• Aseptic medicines preparation.
• Independent prescribing (preferred).
• Knowledge of oncology medicines and clinical trial processes.
