Rubrik SME – Enterprise Backup Specialist

About the role

Our client, a leading global financial institution, is seeking an experienced Rubrik SME to join their Storage & Data Protection function. The role involves overseeing enterprise backup technologies across EMEA and supporting a highly regulated environment.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the technical owner for Rubrik and enterprise backup solutions, designing, implementing and optimising the platform.
• Manage backup and storage services across EMEA, monitoring success rates and driving improvements to eliminate failures.
• Maintain, patch and upgrade Rubrik in line with vendor and organisational standards.
• Ensure backup platforms meet security, risk, control and regulatory requirements, and support BCP/Disaster Recovery strategies.
• Provide capacity management, identify risks and contribute to architecture decisions and technology road‑maps.
• Participate in audits, investigations and regulatory assessments, maintaining comprehensive documentation.

Required profile

• Extensive hands‑on experience with Rubrik in an enterprise environment.
• Strong background in backup, recovery, data protection and Disaster Recovery within large, highly regulated organisations.
• Proven ability to work with SLAs, KPIs, capacity management and service availability.
• Understanding of security, privileged access and risk control requirements.
