Sales Administrator & Customer Service Coordinator

About the role

We are seeking an organised and commercially‑minded Sales Administrator & Customer Service Coordinator to be the primary point of contact for our customers. You will handle enquiries via phone, email and eBay, prepare quotations, process orders and turn enquiries into confirmed sales.

Key responsibilities

• Answer 20–30 customer calls daily and respond to emails and eBay messages.
• Prepare accurate quotations based on customer requirements and follow up to secure orders.
• Process and update orders using WooCommerce and Windows‑based systems.
• Communicate special instructions to warehouse operations and keep customers informed of order progress.
• Resolve routine product, delivery and service queries.
• Maintain records of quotations, follow‑ups and outcomes.
• Assist with order paperwork and label processing when required.
• Develop strong knowledge of the company’s steel products and services.

Required profile

• Previous experience in sales administration, customer service or order processing.
• Proven ability to prepare quotations and handle customer enquiries.
• Confident, professional telephone manner with strong written communication.
• Numerical accuracy and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Reliable, organised and calm in a busy environment.

• eBay business messaging or other online marketplace tools

What we offer

• Competitive salary £28,000–£31,000 per year (depending on experience).
• Performance‑related commission scheme after training.
• Full‑time permanent role based in Birmingham.
