Sales Manager – Generators (North UK)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Sales Manager to lead the promotion and sale of gas generation solutions for the laser‑cutting industry across the North of the UK. The role combines client‑facing consultancy with capital equipment sales, offering full training and the chance to work remotely while travelling to key accounts.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and grow existing client accounts throughout Scotland, Northern England and North Wales.
• Research new business opportunities, generate leads and chase prospects.
• Provide technical consultancy on generator and gas‑generation products.
• Travel to client sites across the region and conduct remote outreach via phone and email.
• Report regularly to the Head of Sales on progress and pipeline.

Required profile

• Proven experience selling capital equipment or similar high‑value technical products.
• Full UK driving licence.
• HNC or degree in a science or engineering‑related discipline.

Required skills

• Gas generation solutions knowledge.
• Generator technology expertise.
• Capital equipment sales experience.

What we offer

• Base salary £45,000‑£50,000 per year.
• On‑target earnings £75,000‑£80,000 plus uncapped commission.
