School Cleaner – Fixed‑term Full‑time

About the role

Pinnacle Group is looking for a dedicated School Cleaner to maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene at Lea Valley Academy in Enfield. The role involves general cleaning duties such as sweeping, mopping, dusting and waste management to ensure internal school facilities meet required standards under the direction of the Cleaning Supervisor. This is a full‑time position working 20 hours per week (4 PM‑8 PM, Monday‑Friday) on a 12‑month fixed‑term contract.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out general cleaning duties including mopping hard floors, vacuuming carpets, and damp‑wiping desks, tables, chairs and hard surfaces.
• Clean and sanitise high‑touch areas such as door handles, push plates and other frequently used surfaces.
• Empty bins and ensure safe collection, storage and removal of waste to designated points.
• Replenish consumables in toilets and staff areas, including soap, paper towels and toilet roll.
• Use cleaning materials and equipment safely, following COSHH guidelines, colour‑coding systems and wearing provided PPE.

Required profile

• Good knowledge and experience of cleaning services and equipment, including COSHH and health‑and‑safety procedures.
• Strong attention to detail and reliable time‑keeping.
• Ability to work to set schedules and follow instructions.
• Team‑oriented with the initiative to work independently when required.
