About the role
We are looking for a resilient and proactive SEMH Teaching Assistant to join a specialist school in the Bromley/Orpington area. You will support pupils aged 5‑16 who have social, emotional and mental health needs, helping them regulate emotions and engage with learning.
Key responsibilities
- Provide 1:1 and group support to pupils with SEMH and autism profiles.
- Collaborate closely with teachers to implement behaviour management strategies.
- Assist pupils in regulating emotions and maintaining focus during lessons.
- Support the classroom environment to ensure a safe and nurturing setting.
- Travel to the Orpington site as required.
Required profile
- Previous experience in a school‑based SEMH or special educational needs setting.
- Ability to build positive relationships with pupils displaying challenging behaviour.
- Patience, resilience and a proactive attitude.
- Willingness to travel to Orpington, Bromley.

- Competitive daily rate of £90‑£110 depending on experience.
- Full‑time, immediate start position.
