About the role
We are seeking a compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join an inclusive special‑needs school in Newbury. The role starts as soon as possible and offers a supportive environment for professionals dedicated to helping pupils overcome learning barriers.
Key responsibilities
- Provide one‑to‑one and small‑group support to pupils with ASD, ADHD, SEMH, learning and communication difficulties.
- Assist pupils with their learning, communication and emotional development, fostering confidence and independence.
- Create and maintain a safe, positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere.
- Collaborate closely with teachers and other support staff to deliver tailored interventions.
Required profile
- Previous experience supporting children or young people with additional needs.
- Patient, resilient and committed to making a positive difference in pupils’ lives.
