SEND Administrator – School Support Role

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated SEND Administrator to join a Manchester secondary school’s SEND department from September. The role provides essential administrative support to the SENDCo and wider school team, ensuring smooth delivery of Education, Health & Care Plans for vulnerable pupils.

Key responsibilities

• Provide day‑to‑day administrative assistance to the SEND department and school staff.
• Assist with the preparation, processing and monitoring of Education, Health & Care Plans.
• Maintain accurate records and databases related to SEND pupils.
• Conduct regular check‑ins with a caseload of vulnerable students.
• Coordinate communication between SENDCo, teachers, parents and external agencies.

Required profile

• Experience or knowledge of SEND and school administration systems.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage confidential information.
• Proficient with a range of office software and systems.
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting pupil welfare.

Required skills

• Office software proficiency (e.g., word processing, spreadsheets, email).
