SEND Teaching Assistant

About the role

Whitmore Park Primary School in Coventry is recruiting a fixed-term SEND Teaching Assistant to support children with special educational needs. The post is 35 hours a week, Monday to Friday 8.30am to 4pm, term time only, and starts as soon as possible until 31 August 2027, with the possibility of extension depending on need. The advertised pay is £26,427 to £27,274 pro rata per year.

Key responsibilities

• Work under the guidance of teaching and senior staff and the SENDCO to improve educational and social inclusion opportunities and outcomes for pupils with a range of special educational needs.
• Carry out work, care and support programmes that enable access to learning for pupils.
• Assist teachers in managing pupils inside and outside the classroom.
