About the role
We are seeking a resilient SEND Teaching Assistant to support pupils with autism, ADHD and severe learning difficulties in a specialist school in Birmingham. The role is full‑time, four days a week, and involves personal care, behaviour management and supporting complex needs.
Key responsibilities
- Support pupils with ASD, ADHD and severe learning difficulties on a daily basis.
- Provide personal care and assistance as required.
- Manage challenging behaviours using proactive strategies.
- Collaborate with teachers and support staff to deliver tailored interventions.
- Maintain accurate records of pupil progress and incidents.
Required profile
- Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification.
- Previous experience in a SEND school setting.
- Demonstrated experience supporting pupils with autism, ADHD and SLD.
- Confidence in providing personal care.
- Strong behaviour management skills.
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one at own cost.
