Senior Accountant – Birmingham (Hybrid)

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Accountant to join a well‑established public practice in Birmingham. The role is hybrid, offering a blend of office‑based work and remote flexibility, and provides a clear pathway for career progression.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare statutory accounts for limited companies.
• Compile consolidated accounts for small‑ and medium‑sized groups.
• Prepare corporation tax returns and review simple VAT returns.
• Produce management figures and liaise with clients.
• Develop daily work plans and manage own schedules.
• Support junior staff and assist managers as required.
• Respond to external auditor queries.
• Contribute to ad‑hoc projects such as valuations, due‑diligence and forensic work.

Required profile

• Minimum two years of practice experience.
• ACA, ACCA or equivalent qualification (or progressing towards one).
• Commitment to maintaining high technical knowledge.
• Strong analytical and research abilities.
• Ability to work accurately under pressure.
