Senior Accountant

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Accountant to join our team in Edgbaston, Birmingham. Working in a hybrid model (3 days in the office, 2 days remote), you will manage a portfolio of property and construction clients, delivering high‑quality statutory accounts, corporation tax and personal tax returns.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a dedicated portfolio of property and construction sector clients.
• Review and finalise statutory accounts, corporation tax returns, and personal tax returns.
• Provide technical oversight and advisory throughout the client workflow.
• Mentor and coach a team of three accounting professionals.
• Conduct client meetings via phone, email and Zoom.
• Stay current with technical standards through CPD and training.
• Identify and implement process improvements to increase practice efficiency.

Required profile

• ACA or ACCA qualified.
• 3‑4 years post‑qualified experience in an accounting practice.
• Strong technical expertise in statutory accounts, tax and VAT.
• Experience in property or construction accounting is highly advantageous.
• Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills.
• Self‑motivated, proactive and able to work independently.
