Senior Applied AI Engineer (London)

About the role

Join a leading financial services organisation as a Senior Applied AI Engineer. You will work at the cutting edge of Generative AI, Agentic AI and Large Language Models, turning business challenges into AI‑native applications that move from prototype to production.

Key responsibilities

• Take concepts from problem definition through rapid prototyping to production‑ready solutions.
• Design and build AI‑native applications using LLMs, agents and multimodal frameworks.
• Develop and orchestrate agentic workflows with Gemini Enterprise Agent Platform, ADK and A2A protocol.
• Implement Retrieval‑Augmented Generation (RAG) architectures, vector search and agent memory management.
• Deploy AI agents on Google’s managed runtime using Gemini, Claude and other foundation models.
• Create intuitive front‑end interfaces with React, Next.js or Svelte.
• Build scalable back‑end services, APIs and orchestration layers.
• Design data solutions across SQL, NoSQL and vector‑database platforms.
• Partner with business stakeholders to identify high‑value AI opportunities.
• Evaluate models, platforms and third‑party tools for cost, latency, security and maintainability.

Required profile

• Proven experience designing, building and deploying Applied AI or Generative AI solutions.
• Strong hands‑on expertise with Large Language Models, AI agents and modern orchestration frameworks.
• Experience with Google Cloud AI technologies, especially Gemini and related services.
